How this is computed

Kresmion reads each policy rate from the BIS series or the bank's own register, dates the last change from the stored series, and computes the 12-month net change between two month-end levels; hiking, cutting and on hold are read off that net change. Polymarket prices are matched to a bank by its name and a rate question. Nothing here is a forecast by Kresmion.

  • Each rate is the level the bank has set, from the BIS policy rate series or, where that series has stalled, the bank's own published register. BIS publishes policy rates with a lag of several days. A decision made this week may not show yet, except where a fresher official source is wired (marked in the Source column).
  • The 12-month line in the table is the month-end policy rate over the same window, from the same series as the 12m net; the bars at the top are the rate in force now.
  • The last move is dated to the day where the stored daily series reaches it, otherwise to the month it ended in.
  • The 12m net is the change between the month-end level 12 months ago and the level now. Hiking, cutting and on hold are read off that net change, never off the direction of the last move.
  • The next decision is shown only where Kresmion holds the bank's own calendar; elsewhere it reads "not published" and each bank's page links its calendar.
  • Polymarket shows the highest price among the outcomes of the soonest open market on a single decision by that bank, matched by the bank's name and a rate question. Prices are crowd prices, not a forecast.
